The Shelley Jumper, inspired by the writer Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley.

Shelley was an English novelist who wrote the Gothic novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus  in 1818.

It is considered to be one of the earliest examples of science fiction and one of her best-known works. The idea and initial story for Frankenstein was borne from a nightmare she experienced while on holiday with Lord Byron and John William Polidori in 1816.

What is more interesting is that same holiday saw Polidori begin his own Gothic novel that would later become The Vampyre, the first published modern vampire story in English.

The traditional crew neck pattern has been directly inspired from two original examples in our collection.

The unique crew neck shape and cut is directly reproduced from an early 20th century Royal Naval pattern jumper, while the deep waistband and double cuff design is directly inspired from an original mid 20th century varsity jumper.

The yarn is a limited edition and unique mix of grey/green hues. It is a fabulous yarn and we hope that we will be able to commission more in the future but currently, there are only 70 jumpers in existance in this particular batch.

Available in seven sizes, the timeless Biggs crew necks can be worn as a tight or looser fit.
